Recycling is one thing. But superuse goes one step further. Superuse is the design and development of new products based on the residual stream of materials from construction, industry and household waste. A Rotterdam-based architectural firm came up with the term and the definition: “Process residual material into new unique products with as little transport and processing as possible.” Furniture, playgrounds, artworks and even buildings are made from residual material.
